We are the lost ones
Our existent does not matter
We could be gone
And no one would notice

We are the last of the last
We are the forgotten
The shadows engulf us
And we are invisible to everyone

There are no tears for us
There are no laughs or hugs
We could be here all the time
And yet we will always receive nothing

We are picked over
As those deemed better
Are chosen instead of us
Without any thought of what we offer

So here are the masses
Of the forgotten people
All living alone in the dark
Since you forgot to even care

Do you truly have no thoughts about us?
Is it possible that it was a mistake?
But after all the years
The chances are gone, possibilities dead

Did we do something wrong?
Is there something wrong with us?
Self worth shattered to pieces
All because you forgot to even consider us

We're giving up to hope
And it seems like prayers aren't helping
